Bank of america pending transactions6/5/2023 ![]() ![]() It's one thing to batch data for monthly statement info but to get more real-time info like pending transactions AND expose it as a service for channels to consume. Is my bank trying to steal my money? What should I do. Answer (1 of 2): If BOA is like alot of other banks then their AR system is probably one of those giant legacy ones like VisionPlus. This happen before but I thought I was mistaken so I took a screenshot of being charge twice in case something like this happen. For example, if you make a purchase with a debit card or credit card, it will almost always show as pending immediately when you view your account online or in a mobile banking app. Next day I check my bank statement and one of the pending charge disappear and the fund were missing! Example (yesterday statement 6000 - 300 = 5700/ 5700 - 300 = 5400) Next day it look like this (5700 - 300 = 5400) one of the statement was missing and my total available fund were adjusted made it look like that 300 that is missing never existed. What's a pending transaction Pending transactions are transactions that haven't been fully processed yet. Your available balance typically reflects items that have been paid from your account, as well as certain same-day transactions (such as debit card purchases and direct deposits) that are pending. I check my mobile bank account and was charged $300 twice both were pending, contacted newegg and they said they voided the first order and it will take 3-5 business day for the pending charge to fall off. What is my available balance Your available balance is the total amount of money that you have immediately accessible from your account. I retry and order the monitor again and it this time it was successful. I order a monitor from Newegg $300, card sent a alert asking me to verify the purchase and the order was pending so I cancelled the order and it was voided. Its based on what you have in your account plus or minus any pending deposits or withdrawals made that day, which are typically processed after banking hours. ![]()
